I was so humbles to be invited to take part of the Australian leg of Santa Cruz Screaming Hand 30th Anniversary Art Show

I remember the first time seeing the Screaming Hand back in the late 80’s at a skate shop in Warrnambool. I was always amazed that for a static image it had a sense of momentum and urgency. Like many, for years I associated this image with Santa Cruz, but as time wore on and I learnt more about the artist behind these classic skate graphics I subconsciously started connecting it with Jim Phillips. This created the basis for my piece to build on its sense of momentum while typographically dipping my hat to Jim. 30 years on the hands a bit weather beaten but still charging hard!
